How is the test completed?

A saliva or blood sample is given and sent out. The results are then given within 3-4 weeks.

Who is this test best for?

This test is best for those that have a significant family history of cancer, adopted or are curious about a genetic mutation.

What if my test comes back positive?

If your test comes back positive for a mutation, then we will set an appointment with a genetic counselor and your provider to review the results and come up with a screening process that best fits you.

What if my results come back negative?

If you do not have a genetic mutation, your results will come back negative or normal. This means that all of the current mutations found by science have not been detected.

Should I have this rechecked?

It is recommended that if your family or personal cancer history changes or even every 3-5 years your sample should be rechecked to ensure with new discoveries and mutations found in medicine you are not positive for a mutation not detected earlier.
